Our Story
It all started on a trip to Burundi.
We were excited to explore — to feel the culture, the nightlife and the places locals love. But instead, we found ourselves stuck. There was no easy way to discover what was happening around us in real time. Things were happening, we just didn’t know about it.
That experience followed us back to Kigali — and that’s where we decided to build the solution. Rwanda first. East Africa next.
Frustration to Inspiration
That frustration sparked something.
We realized it wasn’t just our problem — countless travelers, tourists, and even locals struggle to truly connect with a city beyond the surface. Events go unnoticed. Great homes go unbooked. Hidden restaurants stay hidden. We built Explorease to fix that.
That’s when Explorease was born — not as a tech product, but as a response to a very human need: The desire to feel at home wherever you are in Africa — to explore with ease.
